Unless your results deviate significantly from someone else's in similar conditions there's likely no issue. I suspect it's just the settings you've chosen. I doubt there's an issue with your hardware or software. If you normally manage 60FPS without FRAPS recording, dropping below 60FPS can cause the game to resynch to 30FPS if you have VSYNC enabled. *FRAPS causes a significant hit to your frame rate to record your gameplay video.

When I turned off fraps, a good 30+ even sometimes 60. Whenever I hit the ASWD keys it hit below 5 fps. with FRAPS, I just got anywhere from 1-15 fps. When I turn off FRAPS though, Medal of Honor worked like a charm. I cannot run BF3 nor MoH: Warfighter though even on Medium graphics with no programs running in the background AND overclocking my Graphics card. Crysis 3 on Ultra Graphics with Fraps on. I can even run 10 tabs on Firefox, Sony Vegas Pro, and photoshop whilst recording.
Recently I can't run FRAPS and certain games.įor example, Guild Wars 2 is perfectly fine.
